Join us

St. Augustine’s is a warm and growing Christian community, and you are welcome to join us. Our parish is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, although many of us come from a variety of Christian backgrounds or none. St. Augustine’s is located near the centre of Lethbridge, Alberta but our congregation is spread all over the city and region. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome to join our church family as we learn to follow Jesus.

Lent and Holy week at St. Augustine's

Lent and Holy Week 2025

The season of Lent, Holy Week and Easter is the highlight of the Christian calendar. This is evident in the many opportunities for reflection and worship at St. Augustine’s during this period. For example, members of St. Augustine's are offering reflections on the daily readings during the season of Lent. You are invited to journey with us and follow these offerings on our 2025 Lenten Pilgrimage Blog. This year, Lent runs from March 5 (Ash Wednesday) until April 17 (Maundy Thursday). Our Good Friday service on April 18 offers a time of solemn reflection; our Great Vigil Service on Saturday follows one of the most ancient and beautiful liturgies in the church calendar; and our Easter Sunday services on April 20 are a joyful celebration of Christ’s resurrection. It is a profoundly beautiful time of year at St. Augustine’s and you are invited to attend as many of these services as you can.
